hey got a question while i'm waiting on my lights. i bought a cheap set off ebay to see if i could retrofit them into my black magics they work great only thing is the ballasts don't like cold they wont flash up the ones i have installed look similar to the ones slimcubby sells so any problems with colder weather with these lights?

I haven't had problems with the ballasts firing in cold weather. We just had a big storm over the last few days, and some water got into one of the relays methinks, because my high beams start flipping on and off...

Now don't think I'm bashing this product, it works great. But something happened with my setup, and it may not be what I think it is, but slim has been very responsive via PM in the past, and I doubt his service after purchase would be any different.

Got mine as well - quick question; does anyone have a write up on how to install them? It does look pretty straight forward, but I got the Fogs and the Headlamps and I would like some input on a good safe way to hook them all up. Thanks!

Got mine and had Menametony come help me install them last night since he got in on another past groupbuy for these and already installed his set... we did it in the dark, kinda sucked...(thanks again Tony btw)

I was parked right next to my wife's Prius with OEM HID's, the 4300k match her setup damn near perfectly. I didn't even take them for a spin until this morning on my way to work. My wife was pulling out to go to work in front of me and she calls my cell, she says one of my fog lights was out! Damn! I know for a fact that last night when we were testing these HID's out my fogs were working just fine. Whatever... just kind of shitty.

Then I get to the gate at the base and realize my truck is idling really strangelywhen not in gear. It would go from 2000 rpms down to 1000 for less than a second and then spend 5 more seconds back at 2000, over and over and over again. So I was like shit! No more fog light and my truck runs like shit, then I realize that we took off the Neg battery cable when installing everything last night. My truck is just re-learning everything it thought it once knew. Thank God.

Anyways, thanks slim for the HID's. They are really...um...dope!

Go for it man... I was looking around for a DIY just to make sure I've got my head screwed on straight and can't find one. If you don't document it, I will... needs to be done with as many people on here are buying this setup. Are you doing the fogs as well?

Go park your truck about 30 feet from a brick wall tonight. Turn on the lights and adjust them to your liking. There are two adjustment screws (I found this out last night when installing mine) on each lamp assembly. The screws that adjust left and right are the top ones and they are behind a black plastic clip FYI.

That would be nice if you would do a write up! A lot of people would benefit from it. If you do please let me know so I can reference it to other buyers. :)

I know :( but shipping to Canada will take an extra couple of days.
