Howdy, I'd like to get a set of the slim ballasts (35w) bixenons for hi/lo beams for my main headlamps (9007 I believe, it's an '09 taco) at 6000k and 3000k fogs which are h10's I think. Do I need separate ballasts for the fogs? I'd like to get in on this GB, thanks!

Yes that would be 2 kits. One kit for the headlights and then one kit for the fogs. :)

I do sell off road lights that come with the housings that would replace your current KC lights. But to retrofit your current KC lights I would assume you just need to find out what bulb type they take and maybe do some fabricating to the back to allow the new wires to come out.

i popped open my KCs and the bulb is 12V 130W H3. I have three of these on my truck right now. Assuming I want to convert them to HIDs, how many kits would I need and, without considering temp., which general kit should I get? Thank you!

I would suggest the Slim kit so you won't have to worry about mounting multiple bulky ballasts. I am not sure but you may want to talk to socalman22. I sold him offroad lights that are 35w and he had hella (i think that brand) before. It appears the 35w HID is a ton brighter than what he had before. There is more pics in the link on the first post. And you would need to buy 2 kits (4 bulbs and 4 ballasts).

thanks, the bulbs popped out of the housing really easy so i guess all i would need to get are the ballasts and bulbs, and not necessarily the off road HID housing. I guess its just a few bucks I can save by doing a little bit more work. Since I would be getting 2 kits/4 ballasts, would the extra one need to be connected, or only the three that I would be using? And, one more question, I promise, because they are off road lights, would getting the low beam kit work? or is there a high beam kit which would provide more lighting since i wouldnt need to be worried about blinding people off road. In other words, are the off road kits you offer basically equipped with the regular kits you offer? Thanks!

Yes the off road kits are the same bulb/ballast combo we use in our trucks just used in a housing with reflection everywhere and no shields. You could go 50w but the ballast will be a touch bigger. And yes the 4th bulb/ballast will be like a spare since you only have 3 KC's.

Nice, so the 50w is the most powerful right? Im down with that. And after pulling out the bulb, it looks exactly like this:
so the HID bulb that comes with the kits are similar enough to it so I can plug and play into the original housing with out too much modifying right?

Yes 2 kits one for each and I would recommend going with the slim ballast kits. Be sure to PM me all the bold information required on the first post.

    Thanks!

Hey slim. Im looking at getting some offroad lights in an upcoming group buy. Are they 100 bucks a pair or a hundred each? Because if they are a hundred each ill just get 2 and mount them behind grill. But if they are 100 a pair ill buy an n-fab bar and put 4. Thanks

You should. I just got my grillcraft black mesh today in the mail. It sure does look sexy with the 2 lights behind there. Only thing I'm worried about is losing too much light from the grill.
