Hidden A/C feature to prevent engine overheat????

    Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I went and worked on it right after the post, found the problem right away. I went into the fan to check out the cabin air filter, which I know every time that I get my oil changed, they say this needs to be replaced, well sure enough there was no filter there. I have seen some other posts where Tacoma owners have said their filter was missing too; some even said they bought theirs new with no filter.

    Anyway, I simply touched the fan (AC switch was ON) and it started spinning, sucking up air and blowing out the vents. My conclusion:
    The fan was really dusty and could have been clogged just by dust.

    Definitely check to make sure your filter is there, especially next time you get an oil change and they say it needs to be replaced.
