Worth taking a read if you are thinking about spending your money to wheel at Hidden Falls. go back a few pages to see where it started.

To sum up, there is a section of a fence that runs along a trail. There is one section that is about 100-200 ft long and it looks like plenty of vehicles have hit it and possibly rolled into it. There is also a huge hole that looks like an ATV went through it. One of the WTF attendees had a picture taken of him slightly on a section of the fence, and now the property owner is charging him ~$2600 to repair the whole section of fence.

Just putting it out there. I can't, in good conscience, give someone my money who treats fellow wheelers like that. I'm not sure if you went through and read the link but it was handled in a way that the organizers of Wheeltoberfest have decided not to return to Hidden Falls for 2013

I read the whole thread on the FJ forum. I agree with both sides, 1) the owner was extremely unprofessional and crossed the line with his authority. 2) The FJ owner didn't follow proper park procedures to account for his actions.

I have wheeled that same trail and followed that same fence line, hell I would have used it if it wasn't falling down already. Probably saved me some body damage too! Aside from that, at the end of the thread he openly apologized and being a Irish man myself, we do get upset quickly. As a native Texan, I wouldn't want someone messing up my fence line either, nor would anyone. As long as the owner doesn't throw himself out there like he did, his reputation is still on the fence.
