This is an amazing price for a sweet winch mount. I can't wait for the 2012+ model to get finished up. I love the stock look on the front end and don't want to go full plate bumper.

I agree. Since I don't use mine for much rock crawling I didn't see the need for full plates. I've been eyeballing this one for awhile and since it's on sale I had to pull the trigger.

According to the list of comparable winches it says Warn and Viking. The mounting holes are same for a warn as they are a smittybilt or super. I'm going with the new gen 2 x20 comp 10k from smittybilt

man, im looking really hard at this with an Engo E9000 to put on it.

engo was apparently one of two winches to make it through four-wheeler's testing, and less than 400$

I asked this question on another post but I'm looking for information on the difference between this option and the Undercover option.

I have a 2012 and will be buying something soon and I see its not available yet, but undercover has it.

Anyone have experiences with both or have an opinion?

    Thanks in advance

These look to be stronger and more well made, they have d ring mounts as well. I cannot say from experience about either but i would be getting these first if i had the money and he was still making them for the '10 i own.

You can get undercover with recovery points
I don't think the undercover product is "less well made"

USOffroad has a thread here in the 2nd gen section about the 2012+ model development. Biggest difference based on appearance is USOffroad's model replaces that gray piece in the lower valence, whereas the Undercover model requires trimming and leaves that gray section.

The undercover looks to be mounted directly to the frame which looks very strong. Where does the other one mount to?

It mounts to the frame as well. I got mine as a Father's Day gift so I'll post up some pics of the install next week.

I don't have any experience with the undercover. I received my US Offroad bumper a bout a week ago. I have to stare at it in the packaging until fathers day though… The noticeable differences are just that, visual, the undercover set up only shows the fairlead and the optional D rings as opposed to the US Offroad where you see the full plate. I went this route because I didn't like how the Undercover D rings stuck out of the bumper.

I emailed them about it and they said the reason for the closeout price was to clear up some of their inventory to make room for the 2012+ bumper that they will be releasing this month!
