is there any kit for hids or halos for an 03 taco?

 

there is tons of HID kits out there for an 03 but I have yet to see a Halo kit for a 1st gen. "01 to 04"

you could fab up Halos in stock housing if your good.

I got DDM HID's for 50 bucks and changed out my headlights to have the black outline. If looking for the projector mod cheap check out junk yards and get your hands on BMW or lexus lights and spend a good amount of time glassing.

Anyone know if star kit requires disabling DRL?

 

i'd say yes....the DRL's will trigger the relay which will turn on the lights

Could DRL's be wired to different light source like Audi's or angel eyes?

 

A lot of people just run them off the corner lights for angel eyes or the Audi look. I'd disable your DRL.

stuff is generally cheap because it's just that....cheap crap

 

lights > $90
ballasts > $200
relay kit > $10

even with hella expensive projectors/shrouds it's still way overpriced.

i got my kit from theretrofitsource.com, best pricing/quality i could find

 

where you do get decent lights for $90?
ballast sounds about right
and a decent realy KIT for $10?? not just relays but a nice fully soldered, heat shrunk harness

eh, imo a relay kit is a relay kit. they're $10 at ddmtuning.com. definitely not high quality, but it gets the job done
