As a lot of people suggested, including the comment by Mobtown, that space is a good thing between the bar and rocker. Also, it may provide some variance due to manufacturing irregularities in how Toyota mounts the cabs on the frame. Without having access to your truck, Id think a slider builder would have issues making it so it fits snugly to your specific truck body without it being a custom job where they could measure and build it to your truck. And the truck manufacturers variances can be huge; both my cab and bed had to be realigned on the frame when I got it as they were too badly misaligned and they couldnt match it by just moving the bed.

I guess if you really still want a tight fit though, you could always buy some poorly supported sliders and modify them to your liking by lifting your truck with them:).

Those are just nice looking steps with a slider look, really. May provide some protection, but hope nobody uses them off-road as a rock slider or puts a jack on them. Someone who does not read the directions may try it and find out the hard way.

Your other option is do weld on sliders and adjust the height on your own. I wanted mine as high up as possible on my previous truck and I notched the pinch seam where the legs extend from the frame. It gained me maybe another 1/2” higher without always making contact with the body. Make sure to seal up wherever you cut.

Those look nice. Do they stick out enough for door-ding protection?

I thought so, too. But there's zero pinch seam gap.
