Not sure why, but my high beams are no longer working. Relays and fuses are not blown, lights work when I switch the ballast plugs from driving lights to high beams, and driving lights turn on when I hit high beam momentary, if DRL are on. Constant on activate nothing and I’m stuck. Any suggestions? Can’t take it to dealer without getting boned, because apparently shift sense and BD light added to the truck make it “modified” and extended warranty won’t cover it. I will probably remove all that stuff, if no solution is found but i would rather see if anyone has idea before I take it off and back to the dealer.

This might be super obvious, but since I don’t know how long you’ve owned your truck I think it’s worth mentioning. Are your fog lights on? Highs won’t turn on with fog lights on.

I believe they do come on, it deactivates the fogs while doing so.

Are you sure? I think highs cancel fogs

The high beams cancel the fogs on my truck.

Ballast plugs are fine. Tested them on the driving lights and the lights turn on when I hit the high beam

Highs cancel fogs. Plus, I removed fog connections when I put on my aftermarket bumper.

Could that be the cause of your problem?

Okay, was just wondering if either or both lows and highs were upgraded from the OEM lights.

Are the hi and low relays the same? If so might be worth swapping

Do you have the "automatic high beams" switch? And if so, is it on?

Both have been upgraded, yes. But both ballasts are working as expected. It’s before the ballast that is causing the problem. Just not sure where to look.

That wouldn’t be the cause, as they have been working without it up until this past weekend and I’ve had the plug ondone since November

Nevermind then, I am 100% wrong, ignore and continue on. Good luck with finding the problem.

Swapping relays did nothing. Low beams still work when swapped but high are still a no go
