It's probably something I shouldn't post on a public forum because there were some pretty serious laws broken, it was in Mexico so I suspect it wouldn't cause any problems, but better safe than sorry.

Rocky point Mexico is in the top 5 tide drops in the world. Every day you see boats sitting on the ground because the tide went out so fast the boats couldn't get back to shore safely. On this particular day the high tide was to be about 8-10 feet. Long story short, one minute we were standing on sand and 45 minutes later water was in the cab already and I was frantically pulling body plugs and disconnecting the power to the truck. It has been a long road getting it back in the game but worth every minute and to be honest, it's all I got left of my dude except a lot of fun ass memories.

Sorry, I unsubbed from the thread and haven't been watching it since I fixed the issue. The problem connector is IA1 under the driver's side dash. Diagrams attached from the FSM.

Out of curiosity and for anyone else with this problem, would you recommend cleaning only the problem connector to resolve the problem or did you fird corrosion in all of those connectors. I did see in one picture that it looked like you had everything unplugged. Just wondering how isolated the corrosion was.

The corrosion was limited to the connector in the top left of the IA1 bundle. I fixed the two broken pins and slathered everything in dielectric grease prior to reassembly.

My 2005 does all kinds of weird shit if i put a LED bulb in anything, in the cab, in a tail light, etc. I keep every light halogen (xenon worked too).
