    Hey Fam,

My pops also has a 2019 Tacoma. His is a SR5. He recently just switched his stock lights for LEDS. I’m not here to have a debate on the proficiency of what light is better. However when he pushed the left tab that has his light controls on it forward, his high beams did not come on. However when he pulls the tab back to flash, they do.

Now are these because of the new lights ? Or does the SR5 not have that feature ? Or are we going to the dealership.

Try putting the OEM lights back in and try, quick and easy.

I’d put the old bulbs in to test it.

The 2019 SR5 has automatic high beams.

Is there something in front of the truck that would trigger them to shut off, like bright lights or a white wall?

Did you try disabling the auto feature?

The auto high beams turn off below 20 or 30 mph. I don’t remember exactly. Just turn the button off.

I’ll try the old switch-a-roo technique.

Nothing in front that would cause them to stay off / shut off .

    Thanks Fam.

I looked it up. 21 mph or greater required to activate them.

If you crawl down the humanity ladder long enough, pretty much anything is debatable... e.g. should I drink heavily while pregnant, or is a good idea for my dog-mom tinder date to pair '5 alarm beef stew' with a 6-pack of white claw, etc...
