Does anyone have any experience or opinions with regards to C4FAB products, particularly their bumpers? I am considering ordering one, but I'm curious how you think they compare to FAB FOURs, ARB, Pelfrey, etc.?

What are your thoughts on High Clearance Bumpers on 3rd Gen Tacomas? I've been considering one, but am leaning towards a standard steel aftermarket bumper since I won't have to cut away any metal.

If you have one, do you like it? What made you choose this bumper over a standard style bumper? Any issues with having it installed? If you had to do it all over again, would you?

I will be going with high clearance after I crunch up the sheet metal behind my tire, be it trail damage or inattentive driver. I've seen a few lucky TW members that have been rear ended causing more than enough damage to cover a new HC bumper, wheels, tires, and insurance $ leftover. Until then I'll keep the stock bumper. Oh, and C4 Fab is good shit.

I'm doing it as a preventative measure. If If I'm buying 1 good bumper.. Going to go all out off the bat. Takes some balls to hack half your bed off.

I like their bumpers. I'd like too see one of the tricked out front bumpers on a 3rd gen without a lift though.... To see if everything looks proportional as it does on the lifted ones.

Anyone have pics of the C4Fab high-clearance bumper without the tubes on the side?

I’ve heard a lot of the opposite actually...loved CBI’s look but friends told me to think again. I saw some low quality stuff when you look up close.

Got Pelfreybilt front and rear instead. Getting them hopefully next week, we will see!

Best HC rear bumper IMO. Quality built, fits perfect, quiet and easy to install. Very happy with it! Oh, great customer service too!hc3.jpg

It's not welded it uses the hitch receiver. I have 2 receivers from them and will modify one to clear tailgate

It did, it would hit the additional receiver. So we chopped it up and lowered it. I can no longer use the secondary receiver but oh well.

I also removed the passenger D-Ring mound so I could get the carrier super flush

I have the C4Fab HC rear bumper with swing out and all the bells and whistles sitting on my garage floor - waiting for me to find time to get it installed. I hauled the family from Denver, CO out to Sturgis, SD on Father's Day weekend to pick up the bumpers (got a front low-pro bumper as well). The guys at C4 are awesome and do things right. I did all the research before I pulled the trigger and C4 came out on top for all of my criteria. Great products, great company.

I'll post the install experience once I send the family away for a weekend.
