New to posting here, but I figured I’d give this one a shot because I can’t make up my mind about this:

I’m in a bit of a bind, I had a low-speed fender bender where I cracked my front bumper, lower valance, grille, and grille surround. It didn’t help that it was -30C outside – everything just shattered. My local auto body shop quoted me right around $3,000 CAD to fix it back to stock.

After some browsing online, I started thinking I could perhaps fix it for cheaper (and get a bit of an upgraded look) by going with an off-road bumper and essentially cutting off the lower parts of the bumper that are cracked and only replacing the grille and grille surround.

I’m a bit nervous about this solution because all of the pictures I see of these bumpers are on pretty serious off-road rigs with lifts and big tires etc.

I would be curious to know if this type of bumper would potentially look silly on my ‘16 TRD Sport which has no lift and stock size KO2s. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!IMG_2463.jpg IMG_1300.jpg

It will add weight & need a front end lift to be stock height again.

If you can live with a black bumper instead of white, I'd look at an aluminum stump bumper like Greenlane Offroad, 45 lbs. My sag guess would be only 1/4" and you would still be $1k USD ahead of a redone stock front end.
Some love 3rd Gen fronts, others hate them and relish the chance to make it over.
