and sometimes, but not always, guys on ebay sell the control with the plug and a short wire still attached to it, maybe you can find a broken one cheap being sold for parts

this one isn't broken but maybe this guy can sell you just the plug you need with some wire attached

after all, whoever buys the control hardly ever is going to need the plug anyway

worst case you could buy it for the plug then resell it for the same price you paid

 

you may be able to refurbish the connector. so long as the housing isn't melted badly, you can remove the bad wires and splice in new ones, even re-using the old terminals (unless they're simple spade connectors, you can easily get new ones). just make sure you use dielectric grease on the connector before putting it back on the control box.
