So I pulled out of work today and noticed a steady stream of water coming down from the roof back by the sliding rear window. Called the dealership and let them know I was on the way as I was pretty irritated after they had my truck for a month for a cab repaint and now I had to deal with this. Get to the dealership and they take the truck back and I sit and wait for an hour or so and he calls me over and says there is a tsb (which I already knew about) but the truck was out of the 3 yr 36k warranty (42k). He then proceeds to tell me that the new part the tsb calls for Toyota issues a stop sale on. That tells me that it didn't actually fix the problem entirely. He said my only option at this point is to shell out 500 bucks for them to try and reseal the light until Toyota gets their S together and comes up with a new part. My question is has anyone had success calling Toyota about the leaking issue and gotten it fixed outside of warranty. I'm also going to mention the stop sale and say if I had the issue addressed in the warranty period but still had issues what would be my course of action.

Bummer. If your dealer isn't willing to work with you on this, I'd open an incident with Corporate if I were you.
