2" coil spacers in front, 1.5" lift blocks in rear with 285/75/r16s. Painfully stock.
Hey guys do any of you know a reasonably priced ho altinator for a 3.4 Tacoma. Or of any that I could get at my local Napa that would fit really looking for 200 amps or better

I can do what he is doing, it is just upgrading the "big 3" which is just upgrading a couple wires to 2 gauge welding cable, which I have.

But that's a good deal for a 250 amp alt

clear corner marker lights, billet grill, altezza tail lights, K&N cold air intake, super 40 flow master, black painted hood/Wheels, Black X-Runner badging, Phoenix gold speakers 4x led pod lights, 1x 20in LED light bar (in grill), 1x 42in curved LED light bar.
Hope you don't mind me chiming in on your post but I'm wondering if putting on a bigger alternator will cure my issue I'm having when I turn on my LED light bars my radio turns to static? or if I just screwed up when I wired it to the ignition.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I thought I saw a writeup for doing a GM alternator swap, not sure the amperage they make but it's a lot more than the stock one is.

    Everything TW members recommend
I would also go with @BamaToy1997 . I believe Bill would sell you the alternator as a separate item.

Did you coil your excess wire in a circle? Try twisting it in a figure 8 pattern and see what happens! Looping your wire creates some sorta strange situation. Sorry for my lack of better terminology but give it a try i bet the radio comes back a whole lot better!

It will do exactly nothing to fix that problem. Wire lights directly to your battery, no where else and you have a good chance of being fixed. Wiring anything to your ignition can cause issues, from bad performance to a non running vehicle.

Yep mine do the same. Lots of interference. But not my radio.. I do have mine wired in to battery with relay though.

I had a reception problem when i installed a light bar a couple years ago. Ended up talking to an electronics gooruu and he explained to me if you coil your excess wire into a circular loop you have created (pardon my lack of proper terminology and understanding as to how and why here) i think an electro magnetic field by doing this. Kinda like maybe when you were a kid and in science class you wrapped a nail with wire then charged the wire and it makes the nail become magnetic. Again i may be off on my understanding or terminology with this but i do know for a fact that this interferes with reception!
So moral of the story if you have excess wire from something coiled in a circle, especially around your radio or antenna just simply twist that coil into a figure 8 pattern and that will break up the energy field thats messin with your reception! It totally fixed my issue of bad reception! Even if its not your guys problem its still a good lil tid bit of information to keep in your back pocket!!
