So I have this high pitch whistling noise coming from who knows where at 49mph and feathering the throttle . I have taken it to the dealer with no solution to the problem . The truck has 14k miles . Dealer installed plugs in the frame that didn’t do squat . Anyone have this problem and know the solution .the noise is driving me bonkers and I would like to fix it .I am going to take it to another dealer but maybe someone here knows the solution to the problem so I can address it with them . Thanks all

Might be your ac expansion valve. Does it sound like when you run you finger on top of a wine glass? If it is that’s it. Better to just leave it alone. Mine 2017 has been doing it since new and ac been ice cold even on 108’f temps here in SoCal in traffic.

I had something like this from a bug shield on the hood. I put electrical tape over drain holes and it solved the problem.

High pitched noise, at a specific speed, when feathering throttle...

    Rear diff perhaps?

This actually IS a characteristic of the truck lol.

Yeah yeah, I know some trucks don't do it.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
I had it in my '06 TRD and now in my '21 TRD. I've always suspected it's an electrical harmonic emanating from the speakers. If you're really ambitious, try disconnecting all of the speakers and see if it goes away. While I do think it's annoying, it's never bothered me to the point of doing what I suggest.

Ac on or off doesn’t make a difference.

I’ll give it one more try at the dealer see what happens . Thanks for the inputs .pretty annoying having to chase down noises on a almost new truck . I understand it’s a truck but we Tacoma owners shouldn’t have to put up with it . We pay a lot of money for these trucks expect some quality control .
