When I run into the wind or reach a certain speed I have a air squeal inside, like someone letting air out of a ballon with the top pinched. I have checked every thing I know, duct work, windshield sealing, etc. It seems to be coming from the center up high in the dash. 2003 prerunner. When the wind is blocked by passing vehicles it quits till the wind hits again.

I'd suggest taking a closer look at the windshield seal. These symptoms definitely sound like it's the windshield gasket.

You might also check to see if there's a visible hole or crack (whatever ...) in front of the windshield in the cowl area beneath the wipers. If something's resonating there it might lead to a sound that seems to come from behind the upper dash...

I'm with Enola. It does sound like the windshield seal.

Checked the windshield and cowl. even put tape over entire bottom. no luck
I have pulled fan motor and all duct work including heater core. blown every thing with air and checked for any debri. I even drove while listening with a stethascope with all the componets out, which is a little tricky to say the least, but with no luck. I have gone over every bolt, cable entry into the cab and all are sealed tightly. thanks for your reply, turkey

Okay guys, I found it thanks to you. I got to looking and the windshield had beein changed so I ran black tape all around the top and sides just to check and sure enough it cured it. For a sound that I would have sworn was coming from under the dash, that suprised me. Thanks so much. turkey.

Gratz on finding your squeal Turkey. Tracking down sounds in a moving vehicle isn't easy.

I also have a whining sound from the passenger side. Often at speed, sometimes when turning, occasionally even when stopped.... But only when my wife rides with me.
