    I have a new 2011 4dr-lb-sr5-v6-auto trans. When I first start the truck it reves up to about 1700rmp. Ounce I put it in gear the rpms drop to about 1k. is this normal. Just got back from a 2000 mile trip to South Carolina. When I stoped for gas, or food people in the parking lot would turn to look when I'd start the truck. FYI per GPS avg speed for the trip was 70.1 mph. my mpg was 19.5 only a mile per gal better than around town. highest gas was here in CT 4.29. lowest in Myrtle Beach 3.69
