Of all the police, fire and other high use wear and tear drivetrains, I wonder how many of those have had catastrophic failure? For example I'd find it fascinating to be able to talk to a tech that works exclusively on a large police force fleet and what the main problems are on specific vehicles.

I can't say where you are, but many of the police vehicles here are leased out for so many miles, usually 100k. They idle a lot, but don't turn extended high rpm all that long. I've seen them actioned off around here when they accumulate over 100k miles. Most police here have their own maintenance garage employing tech's that to do routine service on them.

Trying to drive 75, on inclines, at altitude, with a 4 cyl engine, with oversize tires, that weigh about 20 lbs more than stock is a pipe dream. There is nothing you can do to the truck that will make a significant difference. You could go back to stock tires and it would help some, but you're either going to have to live with it or trade for something with more power.
