    Hello all,

At high RPMS I get this nasty screeching noise. I'm thinking it's a belt or pulley. Could it be anything else? 2001 3RZ

Definitely belt squeal. Could be just a loose belt but it could also be any of the components attached to the belt. I'd first loosen the belt and check all pulleys (including alternator) for obvious play or signs of failure (scratchy or noisey). If all good, re-tension belt and see what you get.

Make sure a/c compressor is disengaged, too. Eliminate it from contention.

Edit: I think I hear some pulley type squeal right as the video ends.

Thanks man. I’m gonna replace the belts & pulleys This weekend. You know what torque spec that nut is on the pulley?

Can also be a bad belt tensioner pulley

This may be a stupid question but I have to ask. You're talking about the power steering & A/C idler pulleys right?

It sounds like just a loose or old worn out belt. After you take the belt off, reach in and grab the pulley's by hand and spin them, see if they fell OK. No tight or wobbly spins.
