My truck was hit in the student parking lot at school. These drivers suck. They didn’t even leave a note. 00C337C1-E632-4AEA-98BB-B79C4106389C.jpg

That sucks man. When I was in high school, we had assigned parking spots because the school didn’t have enough parking for everyone.

The girl that parked next to me was a raging asshole. She would open her driver’s door into the side of my car every day. Literally every single day, I’m not exaggerating. I asked her to stop, nothing. I asked the administration if I could park in a different spot, they said no.

Finally I convinced one of the school staff to come out and look at my car. They saw all the little dents and dings in the same 3x5 area on my passenger door and they immediately moved her spot.

That was well over a decade ago… I’ll be mad about it until the day I die lol

We don’t have assigned spots so I don’t even know who it was.

Man, that sucks. If you have the $, I'd look into the paintless dent removal.
Give them a good sob story and maybe they'll cut you a little bit of a break since you're so young and take such good care of your truck. Man, I love those first gens. The styling is timeless.

Thanks for the advice. Since it was at my high school, I am going to talk to the dean to see if I can get the other driver to pay. It won’t be too hard to figure out since I saw who was parked next to me during gym class. Not too many white 3rd gen 4Runners at my school

That's really unfortunate, at least you know what truck it was that did it. Hopefully get them to pay for it.
Also couldn't help but notice you mentioned St Augustine in one of your threads earlier this year, I'm in Jacksonville, 16 (almost 17) too, and have an 04 V6/5 speed TRD Xtracab, we should meet up sometime!unknown.jpg

Thinking back to how I was in high school, I would have had an entirely different approach to that problem.

Thank goodness age has given me a hair of wisdom and patience. Who knows, maybe another 100 years will make me somewhat tolerable.

The fact that a 17 yr old who was born in 2005 is driving a Tacoma older than they are to high school is breaking my brain.

Carry on. I feel old lol

can't tell from the pic if there is evidence that the damage was caused by another vehicle. On our thin sheetmetal it would not be that difficult to create a dent like that with a kick or two. In case you have spiteful 'friends' for some reason.

Unfortunately I predict that will have to be fixed by either full replacement or reskinning. I'm in the pool for $1,800.

It’s got white paint in the large dent. I strongly believe that it was a car. It also happened in the school parking lot
