I have 2008 tacoma 2.7 5 speed regular cab.. I started having high vibration on high speeds I took the car to the workshop I ended up replacing the rear differential and the driveshaft and the front wheel hubs both sides and balancing the wheels (all these parts were damaged) after replacing all these parts there was a big improvement the car is smooth riding and u can feel it’s secured not like how it was before even if I take my hands off the steering on high speed the car will keep going straight.

The PROBLEM now there are still some vibration in the car (the body of the car, the steering will never vibrate) on high speed and I can feel it more while accelerating, do u know what can be the reason?

    Thank you

Is your truck lifted or stock height?

After lifting the truck the driveshaft and the differential got damaged but a took it back to the stock lift and changed the driveshaft + differential

now I am just confused why the vibration still there! It’s much better but still you can feel it shouldn’t be like that, if i hit 100 mph the rear view mirror will keep going down! That much vibration

I can feel the vibration on the truck body, the steering wheel is steady like a rock

When you say high speed vibration, is there a speed it consistently starts at? If you keep driving faster, does it go away or get worse? Can you hear the vibration or just feel it.

If it's 4wd, remove the rear driveshaft, drive it up to speed to rule out the driveshaft as the problem

I didn’t notice that it starts at an exact speed, while am accelerating it’s getting worse but not much worse
No I just feel the vibration

yes it’s a 4wd, sorry I didn’t understand the last part, I already replaced the driveshaft

A 2008 2.7L with excessive vibration at 100+ mph sounds like the onset of maximum entropy or the beginning of an unscheduled disassembly. I'd start by checking the driver nut.

Have you checked the warp drive? You might have to reduce your speed to warp factor 1. :rocket:

I found the CV axle is leaking.. could this be the cause of that vibration ?
