I just installed a 2” lift on my 2013 Tacoma - DCLB. It has 117k miles on it right now. I like to think I take good care of it. Regular maintenance blah blah blah.

For the lift, I went with Eibach stage 2 coilovers and rear shocks w/res. I did a torch 2” add a leaf and sumo springs and ubolt flip kit. I put on a 2.5degree axle shim to offset the new geometry. I put on SPC upper control arms, and ended up swapping the lower control arms as well. Had it aligned at a local 4x4 shop that specializes in tacomas & lifted trucks (long story boring I trust them to do a good job)

After the alignment I started noticing a vibration in the steering wheel at 70mph+ drove it for about and hour on the highway. It stops immediately after I slow down slower than 70. After driving it for a bit I noticed the threshold for vibrations started climbing alittle bit to 75-80mph.

I took my truck in and had the wheels balanced today. To rule the cheapest thing out first. Sadly I still have the vibrations but weirdly they don’t start till like 85mph now.

I have read everything under the sun about the front needle bearing and fully plan to swap that asap. I am not getting low speed vibrations yet. But it does feel alittle smoother when I put it in 4wd at lower speeds.

I visually inspected the carrier bearing it looks ok. But also has 117k on it. The bushing looks in good condition. There is a little bit of play in it. But it doesn’t feel excessive. Like 1/2” at most. I regularly grease my u joints on my driveshaft. They were greased less than 1000 miles ago.

The front driver side cv axle does have more play then the passenger side. It doesn’t feel sloppy but moves alittle bit back and forth. I plan on replacing that when I do the needle bearing swap.

I should also mention the torch add a leafs brought my rear end up to closer to 3” of lift. I called torch and they said it’s normal and I just need time for them to settle. I threw some 60# sandbags in the bed to try to help speed things up.

Any one experience high speed vibrations after lifting have any suggestions for me? I am hoping it’s something I can fix and I am not doomed forever to deal with the annoying vibrations at high speed.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated
