Yup! Was the only weekend that would work as she'd be done with finals before and doesn't head back to Louisiana until about a week after this.

rats! Lol, I'll see if I can borrow a tent from my cousin. I really don't have a preference on a hotel/motel/whatever. Just so long as it has 4 walls, a roof, bed, and electricity I'll be content.

Haha depending on the size of the tent we have an air mattress you can use. Not very thick, but better than the ground.

Cool, I'll be requesting the days of when I go to work on Wednesday. Should have zero issues with that since it's 4 months away. Then I'll book a room there as long as they allow pets. Their rooms cost $50 for two full size beds, so we could share a room and split the cost if you want to.

Scratch that, finally found where that hotel says no pets :(

I don't mind a bit. As long as you don't do weird things in your sleep haha

But, here's Day's Inn for $60 a night and allows pets. So this is what we'll go with for now. I'll book it once I get the days off work and you can pay me the other half whenever.

Looks like fun but almost a 3 hour drive to get to the meeting point doesn't agree with me.

Come on! That's not too bad. That's about how far I'm driving.

You're only an hour and forty minutes from the end of the trail.

What is it about it being 3 hours away that makes you not want to go?

Let me check the dates with my other half and work. I am willing to make the trip up from FL. Although when I lived in KC it was easier to get down there. Also I don't know how I feel about staying in Harrison. So if I make the trip from FL I will stay in another town that isn't full of hate for the first night lol

I was reading along through here thinking, hey this'll be pretty fun I've done the trail but why not do the rest of it. But never mind I am headed to the Overland Expo the same weekend. It looks like some of us Okies will probably be going within the next month or two though
