I'll be driving up from Dallas also, but the day before so that I won't have to get up at the buttcrack of dawn to make it to the meeting location

I have had a vehicle with a winch and open diff as well as a rig with a locker and no winch. I much prefer the locker.

I will most likely leave work around 2 or 3 the day before and drive up so I am close on that Thursday morning.

Depending on money for gas, supplies, breaking something I might not have the money for. I'm actually saving money for the trip I'm taking in the summer (hoping I find truck parts over there :p)

Do it. I have 4xinnovations and they were the cheapest ones at the time. I've put the whole weight of the truck on them and they've held up great.

Permission comes from the wife... I'll see what I can do. That is a really good deal for sliders.

Looks like the long bed sliders are
They are cheaper since the only long bed sliders they have is their kit. You will need to cut the legs to desired length, weld legs to slider and then weld to the frame.
Check out Trail Gear and Shrockworks. I mention Shrock since they are in Houston and kind of localish along with their prices being more reasonable for 4 runner sliders than others.

***edit*** Shrock looks to have bolt on sliders with 3 legs, powder coated for $564. Not a bad price if you can get them delivered from another TW member.

I think that if anyone has handheld walkie talkies they should bring them. I have a feeling not everyone who signs up will have a CB. I have 4 of them, but I'm not sure how good they are. They're pretty old
