My buddy just drove by a dealership in Fairfield CA and saw a cavalry blue Pro, sticker was $68K! WTF. This is the highest asking price that I've heard of. Anyone seen or heard of a higher price?

Shit better have 4wd, AWD, FWD, RWD, and Saudi-style one sided drive selectable all in one.

That is freaking insane. I think Toyota should limit what and how much some of these dealers mark up. That's straight up price gouging. I have one on order in the bay area for MSRP, so it can be done up here. I really dont like this mark up crap in northern cali.

Not me no way I bought one of the last 17's Sport access cabs they had at my dealer and was told that a fully loaded Pro will set you back to almost 60k. Plus now I read on the TW threads ya can't do much in the lift dept , so what good is it. Beside I sat in a 17 Pro too busy on the dash for me with all the switches.

There's a lot you can do with the lifts however for the price there's no point if you plan on changing it on a pro.

The beauty of the free market is that it will sit there until they lower the price or someone with more money than sense shows up wanting it... besides we're not talking about something essential for survival, e.g. food or water during a disaster... my personal sensibilities don't have an issue with them pricing it that way. Perhaps they only have a single allocation and DON'T want to sell it right now, so this allows them to keep one on the floor for display.

This is why I didn’t buy my Tacoma last year. It was between a new Mustang GT or Tacoma and the SoCal dealers didn’t want to drop below MSRP. Fast forward a year, got 3k off and traded the Mustang on the exact truck I wanted. SoCal Tacoma prices can be brutal.

I still can't believe people will pay almost $40,000.00 for a New Tacoma let alone that. But I always say P.T. Barnum said it best. " There's a Sucker Born Every Minute."

jeebus. it's a good truck and msrp is the absolute limit imo... you'll be putting in another $5-15k on top to make it right. so what's that premium about... status? lol

Think you found the highest so far. It was +$15k at West Coast Toyota.

I had a 15 Golf R and when I went shopping dealers were trying up to $20k on top of MSRP. You were lucky to buy at sticker then. But I used edmunds.com not truecar (junk site) and found one for $2500 under MSRP. I confirmed it in writing and verbally then made the deal!

Wife's 16 MDX I did the same thing. Found it for $5k off MSRP.

Just got a 17 RX350 but leased it zero drive off and even though I found several dealers dropping it $6k + $2k rebate, they quoted me a range of payments with a difference of $140 per month!!!

Moral of the story is to look at ALL the numbers and get it in writing before making your move!

A $68 K mid size truck most likely made in Mexico. Only in today's America where people have been so dumbed - down by the media and "Smartphones" you could pull this off.

Mine was made in San Antonio. I assume the rest of the cavalry pros are also.

I’m not trying to be an asshole but are you ever going to get some new material? All your posts are some variation of “made in Mexico” “cheap Chinese steel” “good old days made in Japan by skilled workers”

Why hang out in 3rd gen section if you don’t like them?
