My local Chevron this morning had four vehicles getting gas when I pulled in. A gen 1 Tacoma, 2 gen two Tacoma's and an old restored Land Cruser. My gen 3 Tacoma made it five and the gen two tacoma pulling out of the automatic car wash made it six. All Tacomas and a cool Land Cruser. It was like I stepped into a Toyota vortex. It would have been difficult to get all vehicles in the same picture but I'd did snap a few pics of the Land Cruser after getting permission from the owner. 20181114_151914.jpg 20181114_151926.jpg 20181114_151934.jpg

We have so many Tacomas in Hawaii we try to do something to our trucks so we can find our truck in the sea of tacomas in the parking lot. Mornings or weekends at the Home Depot is comical when Tacoma owners come out to find their trucks. :goingcrazy:They stop pause for a little while to look for the stickers, their license plate or something

I would say the Washington DC metro area which includes Virginia and Maryland within this area we have about 14 Toyota dealerships There is not a day that goes by where I see at least 20 tacos a day from gen 1 to gen3

Far and away the most Tacoma’s I’ve ever seen EVER was Stowe VT. I kid you not 1 in 4 vehicles in downtown Stowe is a Tacoma. Always. Driving you can’t look in any direction ever without seeing several. It was like no where I’ve ever been. BTW another 1 in 4 vehicles there are Subaru’s. The rest a mix. It’s crazy if you’ve ever been there you’ll know what I mean.

I live in Colorado and I thought there were a ton of Tacomas here. Then I went to Maui last year. Tacoma concentration high and not diluted by cute little subarus.

Western NC (Mountains) certainly has its fair share. If it's not a Tacoma, 4Runner or some kind of Subaru, you must not be a local... All the local work trucks seem to be Fords and Chevys though.

I've noticed lots of Subaru in higher elevations. East coast to West.

It's because you can get a relatively inexpensive Subaru with AWD. Reliability isn't what it used to be but the masses don't know that.

Going the other way....least popular area....Flint and Saginaw, MI. I have actually been in a supermarket parking lot and our Toyota only non US nameplate on entire lot.
Hard to tell which car most popular due to rust, dirt from unpaved roads and UAW and democratic bumper stickers.

I've heard the same about the reliability. I've always been interested in the Outbacks till talking to a couple of people that owned 1st gens and like 4th gens. Seems like the later 4ths is when it started taking a nose dive. I dont care for the looks of this newer ones. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd gens look better to me
