Engineer Pass or Imogene Pass, I think Engineer... Either way it was a high altitude diaper change...

Edit, I had to share one more. Good memories...

Fairly easy. Pikes Peak summit, 14,100. Unfortunately the parking lot was not photo worthy, and at that altitude I was grouchy. Truck is behind that building.

I do however have a picture of towing at the highest point, Red Mountain Pass, at a pitiful 11,000 ft.:burnrubber:

A month after I bought my truck back in 2016 with paper plates still on. Still 100% stock I took it on my first trip to CO and made it to the Top of Hermit pass at an elevation of 13,047ft. Next highest was with @hoarder in the post above.

The Colorado guys have us beat. The highest publicly open section of the White Mtn Road in California ends around 11000’. That’s where the gate is below the first research station. I’m sure a Tacoma could make it up to the summit above 14K but it’s not open that far. Mines been up to the 11K gate but no pics.

But we've got Whitney 14509 so they can suck it!

@stacksmasher , yes it was all stock with the exception on the 275/70/17 bfg's and wheels . It was a slow drive because it was really rocky and one spot with a tight squeeze ....but no damage . Awesome drive would totally do it again ...with a little bit more ground clearance tho.

    Yep…
    Vehicle:
Rock Bangen', Desert Tamin', Gold Findin' Machine!
The Colorado Boys beat the snot out of us as far as driving to high altitudes. They have some amazing roads out that way!
And as far as tall mountains, California has 15 peaks which rise above 14,000 feet in elevation, Colorado has 53.

Whitney is indeed taller than anything in the lower 48, but it is one boring mountain to hike (assuming standard route). The common route is like the Interstate 10 of hiking trails, congested with idiots.
White Mountain isn't a whole lot more interesting. It's a ten mile slog across a high plateau, with maybe a 1,000 push to the summit. If I ever get the opportunity to drive to the summit, I would certainly do it, if only for the view and to be able to post in this thread: "Neener Neener, I drove higher than you did! :jerkoff:"

Did you beat your frame up as much as i did? :p
Heading west to east, theres a lot of rock ledges that you nose up to & invariably smash the skid plate into. She’s only new once!

Well worth it for the adventure

Most of the people on in my group had lifts and bigger tires. They said "you'll be fine...it's not that hard of a trail.." Then we pulled off 550 and right into it. Ho...lee...sh...I think i still have imprints on my steering wheel from where my fingers were gripping it, lol.

Only got hung up on the frame once. Dragged the trailer hitch, hits to the skid plate and LCAs countless times. Amazing views though. So worth it.

If you cant see the damage, is it really there?
