Correct. Out here, Its 6 feet off the ground, in the shade. Kinda puts the 115* + temps into perspective. I've thremo'ed my tires at 165* before going on a drive...

this is my SG2...the Air Intake Tamps (f*AI) is at 132*F but that's cause of engine heat being sucked in...outside temps were 112*F...

Welcome to the forums. Very few people will go to Death Valley in the summer. It happens to be one of my favorite places. You weren't there for the badwater run were you?

Not there for the badwater run, just had some free time. I like DV too, funny it was 125 at Furnace Creek, but we got rain (a thunderstorm passed by) at Teakettle Junction later that day.

Very cool! I almost went there on July 5th. I spent the 4th and 5th in the Mojave Preserve. Not too hot (95) at higher elevations, but it was about 112 around Zzyzx. :)

Man with some of these temps - I hope you have cyanide capsules in case the a/c dies!

As much as the 122 AZ temps are hot, I still think that NJ at 104 or what ever it was would be a killer since the humitity was probably a death defying 85% or som som!

I can remember my first trip to AZ (freshman at ASU). There were no jet ways at the airport. The day I arrived, it was 115 and that air conditioned air was replaced in seconds when they opened that door! Welcome to AZ!!! Boy that a/c has changed it all huh?
