    when I graduated from HS...

    most cars still had carburetors
    disc brakes were option on some cars
    airbags were not
    seat belts were not mandatory
    cigarette lighters and ash trays were standard
    Cragar SS mag wheels were the rage
    Custom vans were cool
    8-track was still in many/most cars
    cassette tape was high end
    The Beatles were done
    Jimmy Buffett was just getting started
    weed was cheap
    bong on the coffee table was considered normal
    cocaine was called "soda"
    gas was 50-60 cents a gallon
    girls has hair "down there"
    tattoos were for Navy Men, hardcore bikers and convicts
    birth controll pills were the rage
    AIDS was not even a word
    we did it a lot
    with a lot of different girls
    in a lot of different places
    and in front of each other

    damn...my misspent youth was fun. :D

    im sure, now its all rules rules rules rules, standards, standards, bull shit. Some times it would be great to have everything go back to being much simpler and more down to earth. but then in a way we have our own version of fun. it all changes with each generation, and everyone says that the generation before was SO much better. its a never ending cycle.

    although I didn't say it was better...but as you noted, it was simpler.

    just imaging hanging out at the cruise-in spot...usually a dead end road in the woods or a burger joint in town...6-pack on the floorboard...bong in hand...half naked easy women everywhere...

    and no fukin cell phones. :D
