    loaded by ConorBoyle01 on Jun 13, 2011 This Toyota successfully crossed the east fork of the Carson River (at the hot springs) when going down stream. When he tried to cross again and go slightly upstream he got picked up and turned on the passenger side by the current and floated down the river a couple hundred feet. the tow strap could only be attached to the roof since the car was 90% underwater. This rescue attempt failed when the roof ripped off and the trucked rolled downstream. Driver was fine. he was not in the truck. 6.12.11

    "Yesterday 2 trucks tied to cross the East Fork Carson River just below the lower river left hot springs. The river was at a flow of about 2500 cfs. The big Ford made it across to river left to the hot springs but the Toyota made it into the center of the current before floating down and settling a few hundred yards below in the center of the river. The Ford tried to spawn upstream back across to river right but also eventually floated down near the Toyota on river right. Both vehicles are a boat length apart and easily avoidable to the left.

    Fortunately, the passengers were assisted to shore. This was all witnessed by at least a half-dozen rafts full of people on shore. If anyone has any pictures, please share! "
