idk about ko2s but deff a better tire the the OR comes with stock. that was the first thing i replaced. they were deff a street tire and expected way better for a "off-road" truck

I wouldn't expect to ever see K02 or any other heavy MT tire stock. They would not be able to make the EPA fuel econ advertised.

You can tell because when you hit the gas pedal, nothing happens.....

It comes on new on a factory sanctioned truck.... but yeah, it's a special GST model.

That just shows you what you're limited to, not what you're in.

If you're in 5th or 6th it will likely kick you down to 4th anyway.

I know this is more of an AT thread, but I've been really happy with my MPGs in my lower geared MT. On a recent trip that was about 800mi, I got 20.5mpg including some 4wd on snowy / muddy FS roads for a couple days. Then a fill up and a lot of roads, mostly 2 lane, non-highway and got 22.2mpg for that tank:

my MPGs go up drastically when the weather warms up, the hotter the temp outside the more MPGs I get

I have a Bone Stock OR with some Derp Bars on the side, I average about 18-21 mph going 70-75 on the highway and driving a bit through town between work and home.. mpg got better after my 1.5k break in. Around town though oh my god i'm lucky if i see 15 mpg...

I'm coming from a CRV that got me around 23-25 mpg on the same trip but I bought a truck and knew what I was getting myself into. Also I don't feel like my wheel is going to fall off after i hit a pothole the OR suspension even at stock just glides over those things and makes my ride so comfortable, even better when I look at my sexy truck from anything that has a reflection...

well technically that is not how it comes from the factory. its how it comes to the dealer after the regional port in GST changes it. remember GST is owned outside of Toyota usa and they can do anything they want. especially calling it TSS which conflicts with Toyota usa TSS (Toyota safety sense). I bet that is a hoot trying to explain to a customer the TSS package and TSS safety system on the same truck. that TSS sticker is about the wheels, tires, bling and not the Toyota Safety Sense.

    :)

I still don't think they are spending millions. Engineers are underpaid and Toyota is about profits now so more like five engineers and five tacos imo.

Probably more than a half million alone in crash testing. It costs millions to design, produce and test vehicles.

I get 17mpg with quite a bit of Seattle traffic and I can get 19-20 freeway.
