Modified h9 perform the best and still dont glare oncoming traffic. But if you must go with something, HID seems a bit better (in my experience). Best would be to do either a full OEM led swap, or do a rx350 HID retrofit.

I'm good man but would have bought them as a back up. However, I run Diode Dynamics SL1 for almost 4 years, trouble free and they work for me. Get your popcorn ready!

@SHADOWDRIFTER19 dont let people scare you off of these. I am still running the same set I put in my truck September 2019. So almost 3 years. I drive a couple hours a day in the dark on average (about an hour in the summer, but closer to 3 hours in the winter). Still no complaints. I will be upgrading to OEM LEDs soon (I’ve been sitting on a set since Presidents’ Day. So yeah, I don’t move fast…) and will happily let you know my opinion of the difference. I have compared the two side by side, but it is far from a fair comparison as the OEM LED I am using is my test light for harnesses, and is just sitting on top of my battery. But if you don’t want to drop $1100-1600 on the OEM LEDs, I would definitely give these a shot.
Also, because I know the arguments will come, I live in Colorado. So I drive in the snow as well. The LEDs haven’t been an issue for me. Maybe if I was driving for more that an hour at a time, I might have to get out and clear them, but my usual longest single point to point trek is like 75 minutes, from Denver to Colorado Springs (CO people will know that means Monument Pass, which can get pretty snowy) and never had an issue that felt I needed to stop and clear them. Also, I don’t have fog lights or anything (you don’t even want to know how long I’ve been sitting on those…) so I am driving solely with the low beams. I know it’s all anecdotal, but just letting you know from someone who has been using them for a while in conditions where headlights matter.

I’m not sure without seeing them obviously, but mine do not make that pattern, nor have they ever leaked. You may have had other issues?

Only 1 of mine leaked, it was leaking around the rubber o-ring that seals the unit for when you turn it to adjust the angle its in at. Not the big o-ring that seals the bulb to the headlight assembly.

Ahh, okay. In all fairness, I have only taken a pressure washer under the hood maybe 8-10 times? But mine have held up through the weather and a couple car washes a week for all these years.

I can smell the speedy decline! Had to take plenty off the list until 75% completed.
