Finally got around to posting some of my mammoth hiking pics. Here they are

Hiked again today, realized how much a good night sleep and a good meal helps hiking, i had neither and i was lagging today.

 

where did you go?

 

Hiked the chumash trail again, its a fun trail, super challenging

 

SurfInferno did you catch any fish at silver lake or any of the lakes pictured?

 

i caught a few little trout at silver lake, and a few natural trout at crystal lake. Lake George is by crystal lake and i caught a 2.5lb trout there. Most of the lakes by mammoth have a lot of trout

we did 3 days at zio, it was great. day 4 was suppose to be bryce canyon, but we were too tired, sore, blisters so we just drove through it. it was a great trip

Hey what kind of hiking boots/shoes what you all recommend?

I would google it but I'd rather have input from real people

 

i've had good experiances with merrell and salomon

 

Wow from what I gathered in my google (merrell shoes SA) search just now there is a store where I can get those shoes here in SA, will be going to check them out soon. Thanks guys.

 

X2!! I have Merrell Hiking Shoes, Boots, & Sandals. All of them I'm extremely happy with! The cushioning gets two thumbs up from me!

Like MT Girl said, the soles are very durable, even after forgetting your boots next to the fire!
