Hill-Start Assist question..

    This feature is for that split second you takeyour foot from the brake to the gas pedal to prevent rollin backwards. You cant just pull up and release the brake and the vehicle just remain settin on a hill.its not meant for that at all...should rename it to “the im too lazy to keep my foot on the brake on a hill feature” . Its clicking because your truck is in drive and you are goin backwards.

    Interesting, it's on my sport manual trans and it's a really good feature that works

    I have an SR with 5 speed manual.

    When I'm stopped on a hill the brakes hold for a moment as I remove my foot from the brake and switch to throttle.

    Took me a few times to get used to it. I stalled a couple times. Till I figured out what was happening.

    Now I'm used to it, I like it.
