The specs I'm looking at say different.

The Hilux can be narrower by almost 5"

Hilux: overall Width 69.29-72.25, Wheelbase 121.4, Overall length 206.9 height 66.1-70.7
Tacoma: overall Width 74.6, Wheelbase 127.4, Overall length 208.1 height 70.1

Also, the body specs don't change whether it's a standard cab, extended cab or double cab (thing looks freakin' weird as a standard cab). It can be as high as a Tacoma but narrower (more tippy)

    Hilux:

    Doublecab Tacoma (shortbed):

I'm guessing that Hilux doesn't have VSC like my Tacoma, otherwise it wouldn't have failed the Moose test.

Looks hideous, but has a hell of a payload. According the website, payload on the single cab is over 2700lbs! What the hell are they putting under these things that they're not putting under Tacomas?!?!

It's probably what they're not putting on top: of the Hilux: USA spec safety gear, smog gear, etc, which eats way into your payload.

    She's gone but not forgotten.
Isn't the HiLux pretty much just a Tacoma with a built in bed topper?
