Sooo what's wrapped around your Tacoma? I just love the head in ground mentality. You didn't prove anything with your post. I never said I hated Tacomas. For what they are it's fine, an overpriced truck with average reliability. You keep your head in the ground to long and you will miss what's going by.

Sheet metal is wrapped around my Tacoma. Not that hard to figure out. Still trolling about are you?

Seriously? Are you claiming the Colorado is not a steal body? You do realize the entire front of a Taco is wrapped in plastic, as well as the fender flairs, and the ENTIRE bed. o_O

    Man, I love this post.

Here's the Hilux I drove when I was living in Nicaragua (red too). Loved it, manual trans and a diesel.

It would definitely be a way to add some torque as an option for those who hate the 3.5 and it's constant hunt for a gear to cruise with. I can see Toyota doing that as a solution. They're pretty astute when it comes to trucks. Everyone thinks the attraction of the ZR2 is the diesel but I think it's the multimatic suspension and the double lockers. It's too bad Toyota couldn't manage that somehow.

I'd love to see the Land Cruiser pickup in the states as well. I saw what looked like a brand new, white LC 70 on the way to work the other day, but couldn't catch up to it. Wanted to ask the driver how they got it over here.

Here's one I drooled over in Nicaragua

A diesel engine in a Tacoma or similar sized truck sounds good on paper. However before it gets over here it would have to meet strict U.S EPA emissions standards. This would mean Toyota would probably go the route of putting a DPF filter with a DEF injection system. The setup works nice when it's new, but once you start racking up miles and that's when the gremlins start showing up.

Look, I get it. You hate chevy. So much so you will never miss a chance to talk shit. But that's really all you are doing, just like a troll does. The fact is Toyota is king of the mid-sized truck market. So much so the design has stayed stagnant for nearly 20 years. Why make it better when there is no competition? Then the Colorado comes out, Cummins introduces the R2 program, EPA is going down the tubes, there is a lot of clamor at events like SEMA and OverlandExpo for a diesel, and you finally start seeing some worthy upgrades.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Taco, but I am also not going to go out of my way just piss on someone else just because I don't happen to agree with their choice.
