    Jap,
I had a Hilux but it wasn't near as a nice as yours. It was a 1977 that a friend gave to me. The bed and cab were rusted to bits. I built a wooden body and bed for it. Ran like a champ.

    Cheers guys.

There are two different spec levels for the TRD Hilux, 4000S (Mine) and 4000SL
The SL has a different rear tub, it has smooth sides unlike mine with the tie down hooks.
It also has leather inside and blah de blah de blah...
Leather is crap for a daily.
I love this thing to bits and it's done everything i've asked of it and then some.
I'll eventually tow my race car with it, it's only got a tow rating of 2200kg, so i have to strip some weight out of the race car and redesign the trailer lol

Hilux goes in for a tune on the 28th April.
Should have the intake and exhaust done by then, hoping for 240kw (320hp) at the wheels

If it could be shipped to (and registered in) the US i'd bring it with me when I move there next month.

I'm giving it up and replacing it with a Tacoma.

Awseome trucks. I wish Toyota would bring them here. I'd LOVE to have an oil burner access cab Hilux.

The 4 cylinder turbo diesel is very popular, at least in my part of the country.
I'd say 75-80% of all luxes are diesel.
I had an older series one (1KZ-TE engine - non intercooled) and it was fantastic.

    Anyway, LEAVE MY THREAD ALONE!
