HAHAHA..Yeah my Butt dyno will be the best gauge. I have heard you can stack these chips. I am looking into it more. I only have about 7200 miles on the truck thus far. Do not want to tear it up too much....just yet. my wife is Thai and she doesn't get any of this Truck mod stuff. She constantly says "Why are you doing it"...I said "why not?"

I will take a pic of the bed and post tomorrow. Its 10pm here Friday night. Believe it or not I found a place that does the LineX spray in process here. Expensive as hell though.

    Thanks for the compliment.

Yeah I love being over here in Thailand. Food is awesome, weather always nice and hot. People are super nice, People drive like maniacs which I like(Its like NASCAR you better be ready to exchange some paint). Pretty lawless once outside Bangkok. Buy a house for about $75 to $100K with no sales tax or property tax ever :) and the women sure are pretty.

Is that kind of a "Tacoma" for other countries? Do they sell Tacomas over there or does that replace it?

The Toyota Hilux is the Tacoma for SE Asia. No Tacoma's are not available in SE Asia. I have heard however that the Tundra might make it to these shores. I think I will stick with the Hilux.

On Edit, The drive train is virtually the same as the Tacoma. However the body and interior are significantly different.

If you get a chance, I would love to see some of the areas where you wheel.

Will do, For now I am like most, a weekend go play guy but even harder for me is I am 8hrs away from my home where I want to go offroad due to my job. Where I currently stay I haven't had time to establish where to go yet. I have seen some awesome looking mud roads I can go off on just haven't gone. Right now its the rainy season and it floods everywhere frequently which is a blast. This is the primary reason I lifted the truck and added a winch. I will snap off a few photos of areas that peaked my interest here. I have also been looking at finding an offroad club, might go on a few runs with them.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA...funny and thanks. Its all a hobby and fun. I thought I'd share as while they are similar trucks they are very different. The diesel engine is fun. They do offer a regular gas Hilux here but I never looked at it, I wanted the Turbo Diesel.

This reminds me of at least three Top Gear episodes, and I'm jealous, again.

    Sorry No build updates yet.

Today I am off looking for Vinyl graphic place to take off the 4x4 Diff loc Bed decal to replace with the factory Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 one. I am working on making it a hybrid of US and SE Asia truck.

I saw a few really tricked out Hiluxs today when driving. They are much higher lift and had snorkel scoops and all sorts of cool add ons. Didn't have time to stop. But I know where they are so I will find out. They had red clay mud all over them so they just did some wheeling somewhere. Actually probably more like Mud Boggin. It rained a lot last night. Probably 3-4 inches in a few hours.

Here in Thailand they offer a TRD optioned truck. However there is nothing really to it. From what I can see it adds a push button star that says "TRD", it comes with some door decals, wheels that are not very appealing and actually the worst thing about about it all, its badged as the "TRD Sportivo". I do not know about you, but I definitely do not want the word "Sportivo" down the side of my truck. Interestingly the truck I ordered was less in cost and came with more then the TRD Sportivo

With that said I want to make my truck a bit more unique and add some US TRD stuff. I will keep the Hilux 2.8 emblems on the doors. On the tailgate they have 4 emblems, "Toyota", "Hilux", the pkg option "G"(Like the SR5 in states) and "Revo". I am going to remove the Toyota, G and Revo emblems and replace with the metal TRD badge. Along the side of the bed I am removing the 4x4 Dif lock graphic and replacing it with the US 2016 TRD graphic which my friend got me from the body shop he works at on a truck that was wrecked and they totaled but not until after they had ordered some parts(the decals mysteriously disappeared). I already get many questions on where did I get my wheels and much of the stuff I added. They are unique because they cannot be had in here.
