definitely looking forward on the chip! I've been looking for a reliable one. Might get a TRD exhaust instead of the borla since theres a lot fake borla exhaust around the country...

ill definitely post photos when I install the catch can, but it wont be till 6 months from now. hah!
Its installed behind the air filter. Comes with all the necessary mounting brackets and hoses. A bit
expensive though. almost $500 AUD. Hopefully it does its job well...

did you install a diff drop kit on your front end? was looking at getting a set from Australia.

Cheers. I have enjoyed messing around on my Hilux like I did my Taco. Different yet the same.

    Zypher,
Naaah I never looked at the dif kit. Not sure it's necessary with a 4-5" lift. Interesting concept. There are some really good aftermarket parts for the Hilux in Australia. I'd really like to toss on a clean PreRunner bar out front but just can't seem to find one I like and I am quite picky. I have seen a few in the Philippines from a place called SR performance. I guess at this point I will leave what I have but its hard not to want to add crap HaHa

You have a sweet truck! I'm in the Philippines right now and see a lot of nice Hiluxes and Rangers. Like many have already said, I would love to have that turbo diesel in my taco.

    Zypher,
Thanks for the link. I will browse tonight. They are not to far from me and if I like their product I can get it shipped to me easily. I bought a Yamaha YZF-R3 moto and have been messing with it recently. I got the new LeoVince Titanium Corsa Gp exhaust and will install this weekend I hope. I also ordered the Dynojet power commander V Fuel programmer. I will have to develop a MAP for it. I need to find a dyno to do it right. I decided to play with a smaller CC moto as I do not need a liter moto here like I had in Cali (Didn't need a liter bike in Cali either but that's all they market LOL). Anyway a liter bike here is to big and totally overkill. This will be my little canyon carver and if I hurt it, the cost was not much compared to a liter bike. I will post up some pics here even though not Toyota stuff.:). I have my GoPro set up so I will take some vids as I blaze through the mountains.

Still haven'd ordered my Diesel tuner yet...Just been busy with other stuff.

Thanks Vegatron. Yes it is to bad they do not offer the diesel option in the US. It would likely be their number 1 selling option in the Taco or Tundra.

Sweet! Those R3's are nice, but i like my 600RR better... haha
I rode one and its a bit underpowered on what I'm used to.
Now if they made a 2 smoker 300's i'd buy one! hah

Im just trying to accumulate parts at the moment since I
cant do a thing with my truck away from it... few more months
till i get to use it again... Been thinking hard about getting the
MCC rocker front bumper though. Hard decision...

the front end would look like the attached photo...
that means i'd have to get wider tires (more work)
    to make it look good...

I looked this morning at the link you sent. I am not sure I want a full front replacement (at least right now). As you said when you start going deep like that it always costs more to make it look clean.

I absolutely agree on the R3 being under powered(from what I am used too) I had a few R1's (05 and 08) in the US so this is like riding a better scooter for these parts. LOL!. But you know, I enjoy the little thing. It runs hard. I can zip through traffic and around here I couldn't use an R1. Just be big trouble. Its organized Chaos on the roads. Plus an R1 here is outrageous cost wise. The R3 was $2800 bucks versus near $30,000 for an R1.

Hello JAFO when it's time! Now that I came in again and saw your posts. Speaking of chip, have you heard of the ECU=SHOP in Thailand? I have seen their publications and they seem to be very experienced in increasing power.
Is that chip-express plugged into the ECU or common-rail? If it's common rail, get away from them! These chips plugged into the common rail system only increase the injection flow, they are great to give problem in the truck! They lie too much about power gain. Always look for a chip that installs directly on the pickup ECU, so it monitors and increases turbine pressure, injector, sensor map and various assemblies.

Look for the ECU=SHOP or then UNICHIP. UNICHIP is sold worldwide and has a good reputation, here in Brazil it has used a lot. Here in Brazil there is also the DIGIPOWER, they also install directly on the ECU of the truck and it is very good!

Yes good info for all. One should only buy a chip that plugs into the ECU. There are the debates on whether to do it pre or post ECU. Keeping this simple I will go pre ECU as I want all trigger points monitored. When I dragged raced a Turbo EFI car I made my own Fuel/Boost programs. Lots of learning curves but now I don't have time so want a plug and play chip. I haven't bought anything yet. I will look into the one shop you mentioned here in Thailand. There are quite a few diesel tuner shops in BKK. I was going to go to the drag strip and see who is running what and it will give me some ideas on guys that have it together. I do not want to upgrade fuel systems or injectors nor add a wastegate to the turbo inlet system.

Exhaust sounds good. Its louder than I thought it would be but I have the Corsa GP end cap I can add to tone it down.

HAHAHA on sliders and rear sets. Not going there. Its a fun bike but I am not going to sink a bunch of cash in it. I wanted a pipe to make it sound better and a programmer so I can utilize the pipe and the airbox improvement. The only thing left to do is add the R6 throttle tube, then I am done. That should be just enough to have some fun.
