    Suspension, wheels, and tires

    Front
Planning to install icon remote resi's (extended travel). Have a 650 spring and a 700 spring. Haven't decided which one yet. Got the icon tubular uca's to match. All parts are used but I'm hoping to get some decent life out of them.

update: Installed the everything. Went with the 700# spring. Didn't seem that stiff although my previous truck was a lowered prerunner. removed the sway bar and i couldn't really notice. also had to replace the needle bearing. went with the ecgs bushing and replaced with redline great oil. vibes went away and things are feeling pretty smooth.

    front suspension (latest):
king with remote resi and 700# springs. icon tubular ucas w/ delta joint.
    dirt king spindle gusset kit
    dirt king ball joint lca
    marlin crawler lca mount gusset

    Rear.
Got me an all pro standard leaf pack. Initially picked up the expo but I'm thinking it's a bit too tall. No plate bumpers yet so ...
Remote resi icon for the rear. Extended travel.

update: Installed everything. Doesn't look like i have much up travel but I'll measure later. Might put a spacer for the bump stop.

another update: added the overload back in to help locate the e- brake cable. also added another 1/2" height. using the ome carrier bearing spacer and spc 2.5 degree taper shim

    rear suspension (latest):
    all pro standard leaf
    offset axle spacer
    2.5 degree spc shim
u-bolt flip kit and wheelers super bump
    king mid travel remote resi

    Wheels.
Kept it simple. Hate the stock off road wheels for some reason. Not just don't like them, hate them. Picked up trd beadlock in bronze. I used to like the black wheel look but realized that they kinda disappear into the wheel and wheel well. Going a silver truck so those graphite pro wheels don't do it for me either.
    Tires.
265/75/16. I'm boring and not really a risk taker.
Ko2's. Recommended for my lifestyle which will be mostly driving to and from work 7 days a week since i overspent on the truck and accessories.

    wheels (latest):
    trd faux beadlocks bronze
    bfg km3's 255 85 16

    Armor
Thanks to pelfrey group buy I'm more broke.

    Sliders
Got the pelfrey's with kick out and fill panels.
    Skids
I talked to a bunch of people about both the steel and aluminum ones and ended up with aluminum. I would prefer steel but right now i don't I'll be hitting trails too often and when i do I'll probably be hitting some easy ones first. Mounting and maintaining them was the bigger issue so i sided with the aluminum. Picked up the rear with the pocket for the factory exhaust crossover. I may go and switch that out once i figure out what i need to do relocate the crossover. Would it be embarrassing to have someone else weld this?
    No bumpers ... yet.

update: ordered the pelfrey front bumper. Aluminum. Full hoops.

    update: installed pelfrey bumper.

    armor (latest):
pelfrey front, mid, rear, gas tank skids (aluminum)
    bamf rear diff skid
    rago fab rear shock guards

    Electrical and lighting

    Lighting
Got a whole bunch of flexible led for in bed and under the dash/interior lighting.

Would already have the hids from retrofit source but they're always out of the ones i want. Never even got to order yet.

Got some rigid 's for aux reverse lights (qrm's). Going to make a bracket that mounts to the frame our the tow hitch for now. Will add them to a plate bumper if/when i get one.

Also plan to get some rock lights to use as courtesy/puddle lights. Waiting til after i install
the sliders to see what kind of mounting options we got.
Ended up getting a set of rock lights from super bright leds. Set of 8 for $145.

update: installed rigid radiance light bar behind the grill and replaced the factory fog lights with some baja sports.
    Electrical

Have an ibs dual battery system sitting in my room. Planning to mount the controller in the center console.

Passenger side battery tray from off grid engineering. Going to have the bigger cables made by him as well once i figure out where i am mounting my ibs relays and rtmr's.

I have a bunch of the blue sea fuse boxes but decided to spend a little more and get the bussmann's so i can get a cleaner relay and fuse mount.

    grill.
i ended up buying the custom car grill grill with the toyota emblem. silver surround with white emblem.

Ball is rolling. Got a pick up date. Was hoping it would be this weekend but i guess no can. Instead it's next Saturday. Gotta squeeze in the tint and mount tires into that weekend too. Almost there. Wonder when pelfrey order coming in.

Got the truck tinted on Thursday at tintzone . Found out the owner is a friend of a friend and it's right down the street from my house.

Picked up my pelfrey stuff from Ron and miles yesterday. Dropped off the sliders to mekala and started painting the sliders last night. So far only the gas tank skid is on.

Also installed my blackvue. Pretty neat toy. Routed the power cord to the center console storage box.

had to go with the cut for the rok blokz. With 265/75/16's, they were rubbing reversing and turning. team pelfrey
tried to make this nice so i ended up pulling out everything between the headliner to the center console. I plugged in to the plug in the console storage. Had to pull a bunch of the headliner down to try and keep the front to rear cable from blocking the side curtain airbag. Was challenging but couldn't figure out a better way to route it. Now to get it to stop talking all the time. team pelfrey.

Been chipping away at the pile of parts. Mounted the mid skid.
Waiting till i can drill the frame for the transfer case skid.

Installed my pop and lock. Ran it through the passenger side grommet. This setup is way better than the one for second gen because the latch itself is designed to be lockable in the first place. Now i don't need to worry about someone accidentally breaking the handle because they don't realize it's locked.

Did a mod. Rerouted my ac condensate drain. Doesn't collect in my frame anymore. Just into my mid skid. Lol. No biggie, it's aluminum and painted.

Picked up the parts for the rear diff breather. Will work on that as time becomes available.

I have or will have leftover hose from these projects if anyone wants to do the same.

Also made up my mind and ordered a tonneau cover. Going with the revolver x2. I heard a bunch of negative stuff about them but nobody is making anything like it so that's pretty much it.

My first big issue with the 2016. Going to go talk to the service manager tomorrow or Friday. Hood skin is seperating from the the hood frame. Made me sad but sounds like servco will take care of it.
They're going to need the truck for a couple days. Was only the places a couple weeks ago and now most of the rear most spots are broken.

My last truck had a warranty issue too. Haven't been real lucky with these toyota trucks. Lol.
