not sure if I described it well.. but I have a sound I hear when moving slower. Sure its there at all speeds but that's the only time I can hear it. Its not a grinding or screeching sound... but more like a his or a steady sound …

    any thoughts?

You hear the noise only when in drive?Does it shift normal? Is it more of a whining type noise like a low on fluid power steering pump?

It sounds like what I just went through. I had a whining noise only in gear. Trans shifted normal. I went with my gut and replaced the torque converter. Noise went away. I wouldn’t let it go too long if you plan to keep the truck.

I did it myself, replaced the torque converter, front pump seal and rear main seal. I used a Transtar recon torque converter. I spent about $200.00
