My Dad had one like the yellow one in the picture. I learned to drive a stick shift in that truck. His was red though. I think it was a '74?

That was fun to read. Toyota has a good product in the market, anyone that says otherwise is a fool. Let's hope they continue that quality in the newest generation trucks, I plan on keeping my 2012 until the wheels fall off. Or perhaps the next redesign/generation after the 2016 version, so perhaps in 10yrs, I'll look into getting a new Toyota. Cheers:cheers:

Yes nice read. Unfortunately or fortunately toyota wont do a REAL redesign or REAL upgrade til the new Colorado Z71 Trail Boss is offered to the public. For now the tacoma has no rivals. This will change when the Trail Boss hits the public.

My first truck was a '73 hilux...I'm surprised they didn't include the Stout pick up. I used to see one driving around Honolulu back in the 80's.

Gimme the blue '74 xcab. Oh I had that. When trucks were trucks. I had to reach over and hand crank the passenger window. Optional AC . Truck buyers are such pussies these days. Spoiled masses are ruining the breed.
