Hit a turkey about 6 weeks after buying my truck. Luckily he just 'grazed' the hood with his talons and thwacked the antenna pretty hard. Light contact with passenger A-pillar.

Very light marks on the hood, none elsewhere, and they basically washed off. Turkey probably got off with a bruise and maybe a couple of broken ribs --I was only going about 40 at the time.

Growing up my mom hit a dog with a 1988 Grand Marquis. Sliced the dog with the front license plate. Blood all over the car. Drove it home like nothing. When my dad got home that night he freaked out thinking my mom had killed someone. We laughed so hard for hours that night.

Back in the younger days I got myself a land yacht, Buick Limited 225. I was just trying out the car at high speeds after a tune-up on a dark strraight road. Around 90 MPH I spotted something in my lane and DAD had always said do not swerve for an animal. Thoughts raced through my mind and I concluded that even this 2 1/2 ton land yacht will flip at these speeds if I hit it just one side so I held on to that wheel as tight as I could. BAM, drug it a ways then it came out. I went back to see what I just killed, a half grown cow was laying in my lane! All it did to the car was bend the plate. It was in Texas so I was clear as the blame was on the cow owner, not the car driver. Louisiana is exact opposite. If you kill someone's cow that is wandering in the road, you owe the cow owner. :)

I was riding my motorcycle on a two day trip and a small hawk hit me in the chest.

I am lucky to have survived really. It was a crappy country road in SC in a really rural area so I was going 50 or so. If it had happened at 75 mph.... ugh.

Even though it was warm, I was wearing a thick leather jacket. It knocked the wind out of me and scared me all to hell. The hawk died.

(98 Fat Boy, stock handlebars, so my arms were spread pretty far out, like "come and hit me crazed bird)
