Hit a deer need some opinions

Hit a deer at about 55 mph, most of damage was done to bumper and front driver side tire. The VSC started beeping on impact and now my VSC light is permanently on. I can't tell if the vehicle is out of alignment or if something is bent, the pic of the steering wheel is how much I had to turn the wheel to stay on road to get to town, what's y'all's opinion?

probably easier to actually post the pictures. also I am sure you need to get a closer look by removing the bumper and/or wheel to see what is causing the misalignment

Thanks didn't know I could do that but it was dark sorry for the quick pics. Nothing looked bent I have the 5100s at 2.5 and everything seemed tight I had no vibrations which makes me think it's just out of alignment

 

Take a look at the LCA alignment cams, my guess is the tabs are flattened. Just get under there and see what's going on.

X2 doesnt look too bad from the photo but as i learned, things look much worse when the sun comes out...

 

Yea I had it towed to the local body shop didn't want to risk it. My main concern is why would the stability control activate/beep when I made impact?

 

When I had a wreck and my steering wheel was like that i had bent my steering knuckle

 

Damaged wheel speed sensors?

 

Maybe at 55 mph in the dark, you should be driving, not taking photos.

Good input I will check that out for sure impact was hard enough that I my fog light got punched out, literally searched for it for 2o minutes and couldn't find it.

 

I feel your pain. My wife just nailed one last week at about 45mph in her H3. Luckily the H3 has the frame end where the front D rings are, and I think the deer caught them. Only broke some sub-structure tabs etc behind the bumper, but enough to make the passenger side hang a little. Thinking it's time for a replacement bumper, so I will probably be getting an ARB for it shortly.

 

Update couldn't get it to hold an alignment so next step is replacing steering knuckle and see if that helps. Fender has to be reshaped and after all body work got quoted around $4,200. Let's hope insurance covers it all
