Sorry to see that. Did the same thing in my girlfriends Vibe on the thruway. Since cars sit lower, it took out more alot more stuff than it would on a truck but it hit at about the exact same spot it looks like. Total cost of repair was around 8-9k. If it wasn't a brand new vehicle it would have been totalled.

The ARB Bumper looks fine without a winch.

But with a winch you could rest assured you could haul the next one up the ravine that it dies in so that you could ensure a tasty tender loin! :)

I was looking forward to it TOO! Freaking Deer... thx

Deer Balls? I did think about Throwing it in the back of the truck but... didn't feel like trying to store meat or deal with spending any money on an already over priced Deer.
The Bumper is coming, and I going to make DAMN sure it can take out the next deer CLEAN..
All is good man, I was actually laughing until I couldn't open my driver's door..

    F-ing Deer.. I hadn't even had a drink yet!!

Bianca told me she still wants to go, and take the VAN.... No way man! Sorry I will miss out, I was looking forward to teach yall how to catch a big fish.. :)

Awesome, thanks. I think I will get a winch if I can convince Bianca the truck won't run without one.

I am really digging the look of the ARB now. As long as I can crush any Deer or Smart car that gets in my way.. I am happy! Yeah, time is important but... I think Randy and Drew sold me on the look of the ARB. Unless you really think the Shrockworks is "that" much better... I will go the ARB direction. Plus, driving 2 months with no bumper really blows.

I am still going to get the shrockworks Sliders though.

Thanks Everyone for the concern for my family. My boys thought it was...
    "cool".

It took me less than 4 months to to scrap my OEM bumper. Glad everyone in your family is OK. The ARB and Shrock are both nice bumpers and will protect the front well.

Im kinda biased towards the Shrockworks though :)

I was leaning that way too, but I really like the look of the NEW ARB bumper. Plus, I don't want to wait for freaking ever for the Shrockworks and I haven't heard a good argument why one if better than the other.. they sound relatively equal.

Just keep your foot on the gas during impact instead of hitting the brakes.. should do the trick.. j/j

Honestly, I think the cruise was on when I smacked it.

I finally got the first estimate..

$3,748.80.. they have to replace the front left fender, and the flare. Repaint the door, fender and blend the paint on the hood and rear door. The cost of replacing and painting the stock bumper is $1,167.74... so if I want an ARB, it shouldn't be a problem. The can even install it for me.

That is a hell of a deal, can't belive that it would cost over $1,100 to replace the factory bumper but it does work out good for you. So when is the truck expected to be finished? What kinda POS rental are you driving?

it will take 2.5 weeks to finish, and I am driving a Scion XB in the mean time. it is tiny, but not all that bad.. It's Mom's car.

wow man i missed this too!!

glad you and yours were alright though...i am paranoid about deer though cause there is a big road that i drive home on every night and its funny cause there is a deer warning sign and at least 3 times a week there are 2-3 deer in the grassy area behind that sign grazing as if to prove it right!!! but i am soo afraid one of em is gonna jump out in front of me one of these nights... but hey!! new bumper!!! and as for ARB vs Shrockworks...its all boils down to timeframe and looks...i love the look of the shrockworks personally but some dont...also the ARB is mass produced so you get something that is tested a LOT with that
