    I drive a Miata.
Had a coworker, years ago, walked into the office looking very tired and a little pissed. I asked him if everything was alright. He relayed a story about how his son called asking for help, he had gotten a flat tire and was stranded on the far side of Houston at 11 pm. So naturally the guy crossed town (Houston is about an hour from Houston, as the favorite saying goes) to go find him. He finds the car pulled over on the interstate, grabs his jack, and does a walk-around in the rain. No flat. He knocks on the window and says "son, where is the flat tire?"
Kid responds, "I don't know which one it is. The car made kinda a 'thump thump' sound a mile back, so one of them must be bad, right?"

And that's when I realized that the facial expression that man was wearing was the face of someone who had just disowned his son.

Dad did the right thing in the end.

my GF got home a few weeks ago and asked me to look under her 4R, cause the skid plate looked bent or amiss. The reason she asked I look, is because she noticed it, crawled her fine lol ass under there to inspect it, and was merely asking me to double check. If you know the 4Rs, the skid under the rear of engine does look wonky from a side angle.

Just for reference in case there is any significant damage, if the object you hit was airborne and/or in motion at the time you hit it then any insurance claim for it should be covered under your comprehensive coverage, not collision.

    My stupid road debris story:

Was following (not too closely) behind a semi in the center lane of a freeway in my company car, somehow a fairly large chunk of concrete was sitting on the road that was small enough for them to drive over but not my Malibu. Couldn't swerve around because I had traffic on both sides of me. Popped the car up in the air a tiny bit, blew out both tires and bent both wheels on the right side, and tore a couple holes in the floor pan. I was on speaker phone with a customer at the time and had to calmly pull off to the shoulder while continuing our conversation. While waiting for a tow another 3 people pulled off with flats after hitting the same thing.

Sure as hell don't ask Siri.. she's plain clueless. Relatively helpful "Hey Google" voice queries are the only thing I missed by switching from Android.
