Wow, that damage is crazy. Makes you want to slow down to 10mph for every single pothole you see from now on

Tough crowd. Sorry for your truck. Doesn't look like it'll be too hard to fix though. And when you do, space out the bumpstops so that when you're at maximum compression, the bumpstop engages and the strut doesn't have to take the entire shock load. No shock is designed for that, no matter how high-dollar they are.

Definitely make sure you get that bump stop extended so this doesn't happen to your Kings too. I bound up my passenger side spring last week on a pothole in a compression on a FSR and it sounded like I landed on my slider. Scared the hell outta me. I'm on preloaded 5100s and stock coils. Glad you're okay, OP.

I'm glad you didn't get in an accident or something. That could have been much worse if you think about it. The truck can be fixed.

Yup, crappy yellow pipes up front can do that to you.

Icons (or coil overs of choice), my man... and your worries are over.

That must have been a crater that you hit.

Wish I did man. I just bought 5100s for my truck on jet.com. they were 100 bucks cheaper for all 4 than from Amazon. Only spent 250. That doesn't help you now though....

    That sucks!

I've been in a few big cities and I'll say that Houston is the absolute worst regarding potholes that I've seen. I don't know what part of town or what road I was on, but going 50-60 mph we'd see people swerving up ahead then come up on a pothole with a road cone stuck down in it. Most of them had 2' of a 3' cone showing. I visited a switchgear manufacturer there and the side roads and alleys around the plant were far worse.

Holy crap! The highway that comes into our county (Provincial Hwy 49 / Ontario) was just voted the worst one in the province, but it's nowhere near that bad. That is just plain ridiculous and downright irresponsible on the government's part.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I like to think of the cones hiding in the holes as a game of whack a mole that you play with your vehicle. Good times.

That's why I decided to own a truck. Too many friends have broken rims on the roads. I could go full LT and then I'd be good to go.

Are you sure you were not drunk and ran over a cement culvert and thought it was a pothole?
