Glad I have a permanent handicap hanger. I take full advantage of those wide parking spaces.

I'm still thinking a golf cart swiped it. If it were a car I think the damage crease would be bigger. :notsure:

You'd be surprised, there's a much smaller crease on my wife's Rav4 from getting swiped recently..though no less a pain in the ass to repair it. At least last I heard it's probably a repair versus replace.

Probably someone that flagged down the beverage cart a few too many times and hit you when they left.

I still park my 2013 far away from everyone, but 2 deuce-bags still managed to hit my rear bumper and tailgate in separate instances.

I sometimes want to be THAT GUY, drive an old POS and slam open the door on people who park close like idiots next to me!! (rant over :D)

True for some, it's just most, are too lazy to walk but, they'll drive around three times to find a spot two spaces closer...

I don't have a handicap hanger but I support those that do. Heck, if it were not for them, sometimes I'd never get a parking spot.

I don't get this? Am I the only one?

My wife wants to take long walks after work but seems to get annoyed if I don't park in the closest spot (mall, grocery store, etc...) so she doesn't have to walk far.

I still vote golf cart hit...but only a guess.

I can't see how a car could ding higher up past your side bars. I would think it was a truck or Golf cart like mentioned already. But I could be wrong...

    Good luck

I think we all believe our trucks sit higher than they really do….. lol

Even with the 285s and 2” lift, it’s really just not that high up. Literally measured the front of my neighbors 4 door Audi A8 hood/bumper height and compared to this and it’s really close.

For all the folks saying this was a golf cart. Look at the geometry of your average golf cart. Wheels are very far forward and often extend slightly forward of the front of the cab. Golf carts also don’t normally have a pointed protrusion in the front at all. A golf cart would likely hit the steps before it hit the truck, and if it hit the truck it’d mark it up much lower on the door and not with such a sharp indentation.

Vehicles on the other hand have wheels further back and the bumper / front of the vehicle protruding forward with often sharp angles, at the height of the line on the OP’s truck.

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
Check your policy, but usually rates are only affected if you're at fault. You might have to prove you weren't driving it at the time.

Also, it's time for a dash cam with parking mode. I got mine last fall after putting my truck onto the neighbour's lawn to avoid a head on collision with a woman who was flying around the corner at 60kph (37mph), on the wrong side of the road, with her eyes firmly glued to her phone, in a residential area with lots of children. Same woman almost ran over my parents a week later.

I have accident forgiveness for no claims for so long and a vanishing deductible, so 0 out of pocket or effects to my insurance thankfully.

If you know of a camera that always runs, link it and I’m buying. Thanks.
