No offense to OP, but that looks incredibly similar to when I pulled out of a parking spot at Dodger stadium and didn't see the concrete post on the passenger side. Shop ended up doing skin and paint for about $2k because of the angles on the wife's Highlander. That was probably the most expensive trip to see Dodgers, and I STILL don't have a foul ball

You clearly have read nothing. We found the person that did this. You may exit this thread. Don’t let the door hit your a$$ on the way out.

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
First mod I did on my truck was install a Viofo A129 Plus Duo. Front and rear, with parking mode (if you install the proper hardwire kit.) I had a single channel on my previous ride and was happy, I've been happy with this one. I've posted some stills elsewhere here on TW of some interesting things that it has caught.

Oh this is getting juicy!!! If you can get the plate, don't just settle for getting fixed. File criminal for hit and run as well..

I second this. Added this setup to my rig and love it.

This. Went through this a while ago with my wife's vehicle where I did catch the guy..and more recently, though sadly the second time they just ran and she was inside the store so no luck :(

So… you’re accusing the OP of being at Dodger stadium instead of golfing? And… you wrecked your wife’s Highlander? And… you can’t catch a foul ball?

I’ll bet the concrete post could catch a foul ball! (I hear they move fast.)

Make sure to update the police report once you have those particulars and file hit and run. Depending on $$ and the state it might even be a felony..*rubs palms*.

Thankfully we still got it fixed but when this just happened to my wife we were out of pocket renting her a vehicle plus just the general headache. If I ever found the person I'd damn sure file charges too

3x. I hope they apologize so you can say "sorry you didn't get away with it?" and walk away..to see them again in court when Perry Mason grills them!

No insurance, maybe is reason to run. 18-year-old driving expensive car and does not want to force parents to deal with police.

People fleece BMW and Mercedes these days to look more important than they are. They may not have more than $100 around to deal with such situations.

Yup, I remember you posting right off that you filed. And yes..make him pay in all ways possible. Might be fun to shame this one publicly as well in the golfing community or anywhere else. I say that last part as in the darting world here we had a thief and the public outing finally stopped it..he stole a set of my darts and I refused to let it go until he not only returned them but everyone I could reach found out.

In general I think the punishments of years gone by were better. People feared not just punishment in general, mostly the public knowing what kind of person they were.

Sadly if so it basically made more sense for him to do what he did and take the chance. Another reason I think it's prudent to really stick it to him

That..the surcharge..could have been intoxicated, unlicensed, the list goes.

Very possible, though I commented about the Mercedes who hit me this spring it was to state that that person fit the stereotype for sure, acted like it was a bother to him to take ownership of his actions.

An 18 yr old is an adult - they should be facing the consequences of their actions and if not, mommy/daddy failed at parenting 101

I'm betting someone had too many drinks while playing 18

I know all about people driving $$ looking cars and slapping AMG/M3 badges on em, putting shit tires on them, not having the $$$ to maintain them properly or just not having insurance or a fucking license . . . .

I drive a 13yr old BMW - it is in immaculate shape - I am well aware of what it costs to properly maintain such a vehicle
I also used to work at a repair shop
IDK how many 'customers' wanted their BMW fixed for cheap, that shit doesn't work like that
There were also the ones who picked up an old BMW/MB for a "great price" then wanted the suspension fixed until they heard what it would cost
Those were the best - we would take bets on how indignant they would act

IF you can stick it to him . . .
If the offender has an ounce of wits, he will say I wasn't the one driving the car and until you prove otherwise you may be SOL
